An online two week program teaching you
the finer points of Bob Ross instruction.
$110 per person, tuition only
Minimum of 5, Maximum of 12 students for 2 weeks
First session in 2020 begins January 4, 2020
November 16, we began our first Dreams on Canvas course.
We are in week 2 now and we are having a wonderful time of learning, fun and camaraderie!
When I first began to paint 19 years ago, I didn't have an instructor. I had the books. I worked tirelessly, reading every word and painting as closely to the instructions as I could. I learned a lot and was doing pretty well, but it wasn't until I took my first class that things began to click.
I had no recorded media with Bob on it and our state didn't have him on PBS. But even if I could have watched him, I still needed someone to look at what I was doing and give me honest, kind feedback about where my skills were lacking .
Now that I am an instructor, I still remember what it was like to be brand new. If we've not painted before, we just can't see our "happy accidents". Our friends don't really want to tell us that our paintings lack something, or maybe they don't understand it themselves.
I consider it my job to show my students what they need to do to improve, because I know that they, like me, want to do their very best.
In person, my classes are $55 for 3-4 hours, so to get 2 Zoom classes plus the daily (Monday -Thursday) instruction for $110, you'll be getting a much better value than my in person classes.
Let's break it down:
In 2 weeks, you'll get:
*at least 8 hours of detailed instruction, most of this instruction is live, on Monday-Thursday. (About an hour per day - perfect sized bites of instruction to prepare you for Friday.
*10 detailed critique videos sent directly to you.
*Each Friday, a 3-4 hour live class where we use what we learned all week and paint together.
*All sessions are recorded so you are able to paint at your convenience later in the day or week, if you can't paint in the live sessions.
*A total of at least 14 hours of instruction spread out through the week, with private critiques along the way, to help you improve.
That's less than $8 per hour that you are having to pay for instruction/feedback that you can't get anywhere else that I have found.
That's the perfect name for my online program!
If you have watched Bob, invested in Bob's supplies, canvases and an easel, you have dreams to paint like Bob, right?
My price of $110 will save you paint , time, and canvases and escalate your learning much faster.
In my in-person classes, we are on a first name basis. I believe that's important in a teacher- student relationship. You'll also get to know the others in the group and cheer each other on as you grow in your painting skills.
We'll laugh together and learn together!
We'll be in a private group on social media. My daughter may be in the group as well, since she is a CRI in training.
..and tailor your learning accordingly.
Isn't that what a good instructor does? I think so.
By knowing what you need to work on the most, I will choose projects that bring out the best and exercise the areas in which you need improvement.
I'm probably most excited about adding this amazing value to the program. Each week, on Friday, we will paint together via Zoom. I'll then take a couple of days to critique your painting and send that to you in video form.
If you've never been a part of such a group, you're in for a real treat.
Then, at the end of the program, (which is sure to be bittersweet!) I'll speak to each of you in video about your progress. By having it in video format you can play it over and over again to help you learn even after you're out on your own!
I am so excited about this, and I am excited to paint with you.
